Calico cats have always had a special place in my heart. Their unique patchwork coats never fail to capture my attention and affection from the get-go. One rescued kitten, who was once known as Matilda, immediately stole her human’s heart with just one look. It’s not uncommon for us to come across a kitten or cat online and feel an instant connection that tugs at our heartstrings.
With her beautiful fluffy coat and striking calico markings, it seemed unlikely that such a captivating creature would still be up for adoption. However, much to her now-owner’s surprise, she was indeed available! And as the saying goes, the rest is history. So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Freya the Fluff!
Earlier this year, she made her debut on Instagram, with her feline parent proudly announcing that,
On January 12th, we welcomed a new member into our family – a tiny, fluffy bundle of joy. After a two-hour drive to pick her up, she surprised us with her calm demeanor during the journey home, not making a sound. This courageous little girl has a fondness for people and is always eager to explore her surroundings. Rescued at just 8 weeks old after being discovered climbing a window screen, she captured our hearts the moment we saw her cute orange face on Petfinder.
What are her favorite pastimes?
Freya’s favorite pastime involves sitting by the window and observing the birds and squirrels playing in the yard. She also enjoys learning new tricks, such as sitting on command. Currently, we are working on teaching her to lie down and climb into her backpack. Additionally, playing is one of her favorite hobbies.
Does Freya live with any furry companions like cats or dogs?
At home, Freya shares her space with her 10-year-old canine sibling, Kayden, and a feline friend named Dior!
What makes Freya stand out that you want others to know?
Freya is an incredibly affectionate cat – she’s hands down the most lovable feline I’ve ever come across! She adores people and charms anyone she meets. Whenever she greets someone new, she’ll immediately approach them and nuzzle up for some pets!
