The Joyous Reunion of Mama Cat and Her Kittens at the Shelter

“Her demeanor appears to be a lot calmer now” ❤️️
Toodles, a stray cat residing in a mobile home community, found herself in some trouble when a dog altercation left her requiring assistance. Mindy Brocato, a resident of the community and an employee at the Anne Arundel County Animal Care Control, quickly brought her to the shelter.
Upon Toodles’ arrival in early April, it was evident to everyone that she had recently become a mother.

The pals of Anne Arundel County Animal Care Control stepped in to help Toodles after she was rescued. They quickly started searching for her missing family members. According to Chris Weinstein, a member of the board, Toodles was lactating, indicating she had recently given birth. Mindy, another member, informed her neighbors about the situation and urged them to keep an eye out for kittens. Soon after, five kittens were discovered underneath a mobile home, and Mindy promptly took them to the shelter for care.

The folks at Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Care Control, Inc. were touched by a heartwarming moment when a mama cat named Toodles was reunited with her kittens. When the shelter employee placed the first baby on Toodles’ bed, she sniffed the little kitten and let out a joyful meow. The rest of the kittens, just two weeks old, quickly joined their mom and began nursing, emitting tiny squeaks of contentment.

The sweet reunion was captured on video, showing the tender moment between Toodles and her babies. However, even with her kittens back by her side, Toodles seemed to be troubled by something. A few days later, a sixth kitten named Percy was found crying for her mom in the insulation of the same mobile home where the others were discovered. The team wasted no time in reuniting Percy with her family, bringing them all back together in a foster home for the care they needed.

Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Care Control shared on Facebook the heartwarming reunion of Toodles and her kittens in a loving foster home. The shelter’s post detailed how Toodles eagerly welcomed her new baby and seemed more relaxed with her kittens around. Toodles, believed to be around 2 years old, has proven to be a devoted and attentive mother, with her foster describing her as a “good momma” who ensures her kittens thrive under her care.

The Anne Arundel County Animal Care Control friends have some exciting news to share! The entire furry family will soon be spayed, neutered, and microchipped before heading to their forever homes. But, to everyone’s delight, the first lucky one to be adopted was Toodles herself! Toodles and Percy were the first duo to find a loving family, which is especially heartwarming as mother animals like Toodles are usually the last to find homes.
