Happy Kitten Finds Love and Comfort After Being Rescued from the Streets

Kitten With Adorable Ears Is So Happy to Be Loved After She Was Rescued as Stray

A youthful feline was taken to a vet’s office and quickly captured the affection of all the staff.

Earlier this month, a cute little kitty found her way to a local rescue in Rowan County, North Carolina. She had been living as a stray with a neck wound and a pesky upper respiratory infection.

This friendly feline, sporting a pair of ears reminiscent of the wise Jedi Master Yoda, was quickly taken to Cabarrus Animal Hospital for some much-needed TLC. It didn’t take long for her to capture the hearts of everyone at the hospital.

Dr. Alisha Kidwell, DVM, is currently overseeing her treatment, and according to Jana Aviles, a veterinary assistant at the hospital, this kitty is a total sweetheart who loves to show affection. Despite weighing only 6.5 pounds, she is full of endearing little quirks that make her even more lovable.

Shelby Beers, a vet tech, mentioned that there is a unique feature about a cat she knows – she is missing her front teeth, causing her tongue to stick out at times. Despite this, Shelby finds it endearing and adds to the cat’s charm. The cat’s age is not completely known, but she is estimated to be around a year old and is much smaller than the average adult feline, as shared by Shelby with Love Meow.

Shelby Beers is doing great in her recovery and is being showered with love and care by the staff at the facility. This precious feline is showing her affectionate side by craving cuddles and spending quality time with her beloved human companions.

Shelby shared, “We keep her cozy in our hoodies, just like a kangaroo pouch, and she drifts off to sleep.” The little kitty doesn’t have a proper name yet, but everyone at the clinic fondly calls her the “Yoda cat” due to her adorable helicopter ears that remind them of Baby Yoda.

Jana Aviles is described as a timid and reserved feline, but she transforms into a loving and affectionate companion as soon as she receives pets and snuggles. Shelby shared with Love Meow how Jana is a small, cuddly lap cat who adores attention. At the moment, this sweet kitty is receiving top-notch care at the animal hospital to aid in her recovery.

Jana shared that there are approximately 70 million stray cats in the United States, with four million being taken to animal shelters annually. This adorable kitty is among the fortunate ones who have found a loving home.
